Small cuts will dry and stop bleeding in a few days. Cover larger pruning cuts that are losing sap with freshly-cut slices of potato. The potato starch will soak up the sap and slowly stop the bleeding. After the cuts have dried paint the large wounds with Medo from Vitax or Arborex Heal and Seal from Bayer.
