How do I care for my potted lemon tree over the winter?

Our Advice:

A minimum winter night temperature of 10°C is fine for lemons, but temperatures below 7°C (45°F) may cause damage to leaves and young stems. Centrally-heated rooms are usually too hot, dry and dark, and can often stress citrus plants so mist the leaves regularly in winter. Reduce watering to keep the compost barely moist.
