Gerbera Giveaway

Schools who have been lucky and selected to receive our free Gerbera Sweet Series plants have received deliveries this week. Parcels should be unwrapped, the roots well watered before potting up ( see potted example foreground). Once potted place on a warm light window sill to get established. Although these plants are reasonably hardy and those grown last year overwintered outside to grow and lower again this summer, our young plants need 6 to 8 weeks indoors to get them flowering in good time for lots of blooms to be produced through the summer. We hope to have some in flower for Chelsea Show and these plants will need to be kept indoors in the warm until mid May to bring flowering forward. Our thanks to Florist in Holland for the supply of plants and to Thompson & Morgan for handling delivery.
