Joy of Spring at the Harrogate Spring Flower Show!

This year’s Harrogate Spring Flower Show, held at the Great Yorkshire Showground in Harrogate between 25-28 April, marks the perfect beginning to a brand-new gardening season. Welcoming up to 50,000 visitors across the four days, it is one of the most highly anticipated events in the gardening calendar and this year’s show promises to be even more special than ever before.

Display of flowers

The 4000m2 Grand Floral Hall will hum with the sound of horticultural activity. In addition to the dozens of nurseries and specialist societies showcasing hundreds of new and established plant varieties, we're thrilled to unveil exciting new additions, including the Houseplant Zone, an ideal spot to get advice and find the perfect plant to infuse your home with a splash of colour. For a hands-on experience, visitors can take part in a new complimentary Plant Workshop to craft their own Mossarium or Seed Bomb. For those with burning gardening questions to be answered, check in at the Garden Advice Bureau, supported by the Chartered Institute of Horticulture, running throughout the show weekend, or take a seat at the Grow! live theatre with a host of talks and demonstrations throughout the day.

This Spring see’s the long awaited return of the Show Gardens feature, offering abundant garden design inspiration for everyone. With organisations including Yorkshire Air Ambulance and War Graves Commission taking part, these features will showcase each organisation’s valuable work through horticulture. Meanwhile, the returning Creative Borders category, supported by the Association of Professional Landscapers, continues to brim with innovative ideas and creative concepts for the smallest of spaces.

Show Details

For a world of floral wonder, step into the Floral Art Pavilion, where vibrant blooms and captivating themed installations await. From college students recreating Ancient Greek mythology to the excitement of twice daily live competition sessions and demonstrations by celebrity florist Jonathan Moseley on the ever-lively Create! stage, there’s plenty for everyone to explore.

Two further live stages await, with the Human Gardener offering conversations with the people behind the plants – from horticulturists to foragers, aborists and artists, there’s a daily changing menu of fascinating and varied speakers. Meanwhile, the Gardener’s Kitchen stage offers a myriad of tips for growing and cooking your own produce, with dozens of tasty recipes to be part of.

With all this, plus fantastic garden shopping, a unique Home & Gift Pavilion and, of course, food and drink galore, there’s so much to enjoy at this year’s Harrogate Spring Flower Show.

Prices: Adult *£25, Child (under 16 yrs) free, General Parking free. Tickets are available to purchase online at www.flowershow.org.uk up to and throughout the show. *A single £1.50 admin fee per order applies.
