Narcissus 'Tete a Tete' are great bulbs for school children to plant in the autumn and have in flower for Mothering Sunday . We already have three schools where every scholar is planting a pot and we are offering ten collections of 100 bulbs for schools to win.
All you need is 11 cm diameter pots, some potting compost and three bulbs per pot. Fill the pots loosely with moist compost, then push the bulbs in for just over half their height, water well and place in a cool dark place. Keep an eye on them and water occasionally so the compost does not dry out. Once fully rooted with, leaves and buds just showing, they can come out into the light. watch this space for more advice as the season develops.
