Bug eats bug

With many familiar sprays being gradually withdrawn, it's time to look at alternatives for controlling pests. Natural controls involve the use of 'good' insects to attack and kill 'bad' ones. One predator for controlling red spider mite can catch and eat up to 30 of its prey each day. Mixed with vermiculite or bran, these arrive by post and should be shaken over the affected plants. Controls like this are easy to apply and can be used indoors, outside and on edible plants without any chemical residue. See The Dragonfly Website for more information about natural predators.
