Liverwort Control

Liverwort is a form of plant life, (closely related to moss), that likes damp conditions and compacted soil or composts or surfaces which do not drain very quickly. This problematic weed is spread by water splashes, be it from rain or overhead watering. You can control it with bicarbonate of soda (at 12grams per square metre) dusted thinly over the surface of the soil/compost. The liverwort turns brown and dies.
